Many excellent older shows are streaming legally online. If, like me, you have no interest in the current crop of otaku pandering vehicles, you can skip them and watch something good. Here are four of my personal top five anime: Haibane Renmei<\/a><\/b><\/i>, Serial Experiments Lain<\/a><\/b><\/i>, Shingu<\/a><\/b><\/i> and Mononoke<\/a><\/b><\/i>. (Missing is Dennou Coil<\/b><\/i>.)<\/p>\n If you found Mononoke<\/b><\/i> intriguing, you can watch most of Kenji Nakamura’s other series: Kuuchu Buranko<\/a><\/b><\/i>, [C] Control<\/a><\/b><\/i>, Tsuritama<\/a><\/b><\/i> and Gatchaman Crowds<\/a><\/b><\/i>.
