Their first album featured Perrey&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ondioline\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ondioline<\/a>, a forerunner of the Moogs and Arps to come, plus tape loops with funny noises. In the musical demonstration during the second half of the video, note how Perrey wiggles the keyboard side to side to obtain a vibrato.<\/p>\n<p>I stumbled across the Perrey video while looking for the episode of <i>To Tell the Truth<\/i> in which the panelists try to identify the real Robert Moog.<span id='easy-footnote-1-53622' class='easy-footnote-margin-adjust'><\/span><span class='easy-footnote'><a href='http:\/\/shuffly.net\/zoop\/high-culture-for-a-sunday-afternoon\/#easy-footnote-bottom-1-53622' title='As I recall, two of the candidates were knowledgeable about avant-garde music; the third said &amp;#8220;I don&amp;#8217;t know&amp;#8221; to nearly every question. The panelists split their vote between the first two. Guess which one was Moog. Unfortunately, I don&amp;#8217;t think it&amp;#8217;s been posted anywhere online yet.&lt;\/p&gt;\n&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Update&lt;\/strong&gt;: &lt;a href=&quot;https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=WlpK2snCKOM&quot; rel=&quot;noopener&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;Here it is&lt;\/a&gt;. My memory wasn&amp;#8217;t quite accurate, but the panelists did all get it wrong.'><sup>1<\/sup><\/a><\/span> Perrey and Kingsley used Moog&#8217;s modular synthesizer on the second album, over a year before <i>Switched-on Bach<\/i>. The music from the two Perrey-Kingsley albums is collected <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Essential-Perrey-Kingsley\/dp\/B001G5XRNA\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>. It may be cheesy, but it&#8217;s cheese of high quality.
