If WWII had been like this, Roosevelt would have looked like Professor X and have been crippled years ago by his quasi-enemy, Super Seiyjin Stalin; Hitler would have been the lunatic madman out to conquer\/end\/dominate\/destroy the world, Mussolini would have been the jilted bishie lover of both Roosevelt and Stalin, Churchill would have been an angsty teenager, and Hirohito would have been a cute female high-schooler in a sailor outfit trying to end world militarism in time for this semester\u2019s finals.<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><center>*<\/center><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><a href=\"http:\/\/fredosphere.uni-nets.com\/2007\/10\/opener-number-three.html\">&#8220;Isn&#8217;t chocolate pudding&#8230; <em>bad<\/em> &#8230; for the violins?&#8221;<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>*****<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m not a fan of <strong><em>Star Wars<\/em><\/strong>, but <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Wffwg7pA0t8\">this<\/a> was uncalled for. (Caution: causes severe ear pain. Blame the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.llamabutchers.mu.nu\/\">LLamas<\/a> for this one.)<\/p>\n<p>*****<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s an alternate history story: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.johncolemanburroughs.com\/0934.html\">if MGM had said &#8220;yes&#8221; to Bob Clampett in 1936<\/a>, would the Japanese now be fansubbing American animation? (Via <a href=\"http:\/\/suburbanbanshee.wordpress.com\/\">Aliens in This World<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>*****<\/p>\n<p>I may be wrong, but as I understand it, the &#8220;sei&#8221; in &#8220;seifuku&#8221; is short for &#8220;sailor.&#8221; I.e., its distinguishing characteristic  is the sailor collar. Consequently, I think only one of the outfits in <a href=\"http:\/\/animedesho.animeblogger.net\/?p=2674\">this poll<\/a> qualifies as a proper <em>seifuku<\/em>. (Update: I <em>was<\/em> wrong \u2014 see Andrew F.&#8217;s comment.
