I did searches at amazon.com and calendars.com for “anime calendar.” The results were pathetic. Between the two sites, 2009 calendars included only Naruto, Inuyasha, Bleach<\/b><\/i> and Pokemon<\/b><\/i>, and something called “Domo.” Bleah. Therefore, I paid a visit to YesAsia.com, where I did a little better: Soul Eater<\/a>, Wagaya no Oinari-sama<\/a>, Shakugan no Shana<\/a>, Blue Dragon<\/a>, Wolf and Spice<\/a>, Ponyo on the Cliff<\/a>, Chii’s Sweet Home<\/a>, Clannad<\/a><\/b><\/i> and Clannad After Story<\/a>, Gintama<\/a>, Evangelion<\/a><\/b><\/i> and Petit Eva<\/a>, One Piece<\/a>, Gegege no Kitaro<\/a>, Nodame Cantabile<\/a><\/b><\/i> and Code Geass R2<\/a><\/b><\/i>. And Gundam00<\/a>, Tales of the Abyss<\/a>, Keroro Gunsou<\/a>, Shugo Chara<\/a>, Studio Ghibli<\/a>, Osamu Tezuka<\/a>, Rumiko Takahashi<\/a><\/b><\/i> and many others. And Dragonball Z<\/a><\/b><\/i>.<\/p>\n

I also found a couple of Yotsub&!<\/b><\/i> daily calendars. The 2009 edition<\/a> will be available March 31, 2009, suggesting that these run from July 1 to June 30, which means that the 2008 edition<\/a> has eight months’ use left.<\/p>\n

By the way, this year’s Edward Gorey calendar<\/a> features “Neglected Murderesses.” I didn’t spot a Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei<\/b><\/i> calendar, but Gorey operates in a similar pleasantly macabre vein.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
