
We’re probably done with snow this year, and the temperature hasn’t quite hit 100℉ yet, though it’s come close. The big show is underway outside. Here are some of the early highlights.

Penstemon wrightii is native to west Texas, but it survived a relatively mild Kansas winter.

Polemonium reptans does fine in the shade here with a little extra water.


Linum narbonense flowers open a darker blue than the more familiar Linum perenne, though they fade a bit as the day progresses.








Phlox grayi is still blooming, though probably not for much longer.
