Yeah, right.
Here are at least ten more opportunities for enterprising companies to separate me from my money. (The Tezuka work I have in mind here is Ribon no Kishi, none of which is included in his “Astonishing Works.” Also, while I would indeed like someone to license the anime YKK, it’s the manga that I’m really interested in.)
Who said fansub viewers don’t buy DVDs? Heck, I’ve even purchased some non-translated imports, ripped them, and remuxed the fansubs onto them so I could support the show and get higher-quality rips. I even wish I could get BluRays of some things that had good HDTV releases (like Birdy the Mighty), but still settle for the DVDs (also when the BluRay edition is a lazy upscale).
