Bulletin from the Galactic Federation

Shingu is the perfect show to recover with after Divergence Eve/Misaki Chronicles. The fate of the Earth, perhaps the entire galaxy, may hang in the balance, but six episodes in, the outstanding characteristic of the show is its playfulness.

  1. It is at least as engaging, but it is nothing like as heavy. At its core, this is a comedy, but it isn’t slapstick and the comedy derives from characters, not from contrivance. And it does get very serious sometimes.

Still, they deliberately tried to keep the mood somewhat lighter, and as you say it is perfect as a chaser for Misaki Chronicles.
