Is it just me or does the German in the last panel look a bit like Werner Klemperer?
I used to enjoy the old New Yorker quite a bit until Tina Brown got her claws on it and ruined it forever.
There is a little resemblance there. He also looks a bit like some of the old German Catholic priests in my diocese.
