This is what the sky looked like just before I left work.
It’s been a rather chilly day today, only reaching 99°F, instead of the predicted 108°. It’s even cooler now — not that I’m complaining.

Makes me homesick.
Is that what they call “earthquake weather”? I know that around here if it’s really hot and overcast like that, it means thunderstorms.
Earthquakes are rare in this part of Kansas, and the only “earthquake weather” I’m familiar with is a Tim Powers novel. However, hot overcast weather is intrinsically ominous, and mammatusclouds are typically associated with strong thunderstorms.
