Music appreciation

Just for the heck of it, here are some excerpts from noteworthy soundtracks that weren’t nominated for the current poll.

… and a little music depreciation. Here’s a tune you might recognize, sung by Haruna Ikezawa.

  1. I know I nominated Kamichu! and Bartender, but seriously, I’m not taking them over Bebop, Aria, .hack, FLCL, Castle in the Sky, etc. A handful of the nominees here should just run away with this vote.

  2. How curious that I didn’t know about this sooner, or else I’d have participated given that this topic is something I cover on a regular basis. The Spice and Wolf OST does stand out as being pretty awesome though and I’m kind of surprised that it’s not more recognized.

Either way, this looks pretty fun and I look forward to following it.

  3. Hm, I must have missed the nominations. I’d vote for Ghost in the Shell or Kimagure Orange Road over pretty much anything nominated.

  4. And if I’d been paying more attention, I’d have nominated Wolf’s Rain, another Yoko Kanno effort.
