If all you know about Japanese rock is what you hear in anime, you’re missing most of the best. Someday I’ll write about the bands I’ve discovered, from Happy End and the Sadistic Mika Band to Melt-Banana and Tatsuya Yoshida’s various projects.   1. After hearing that splendid bit of cacophony, I dialed over to YT and happened upon something called “Outro for Cell-Scape HQ,” a ten-minute Atari serenade that couldn’t possibly be by the same band, except for the fact that it is.
