I am not a native speaker, but I see “nascent space tourism industry” and the like a lot.
Yes. I don’t think it’s a particularly rare or difficult word. However, at a meeting this morning, I was surprised to find that only half of the attendees recognized it.
I don’t think I’ve ever heard it used at any company I’ve worked at, but then again, until recently I’d never heard people casually use ARPU in sentences, without feeling a need to explain it.
