While reading about Memories Pizza, it occurred to me that what we have here is not so much “Selma envy” as “Salem envy.”

I lived in Salem for a couple of years, and saw all the “Witch City” signs, and the tourist attractions, and the official Salem Witch, and all that.
I was always bemused by that, for a simple reason: the actual “Salem Witch Trials” happened in modern Danvers, not modern Salem.
