Ten episodes in, Fantastic Children is a nicely complicated science-fantasy story. If the many mysteries that have been presented are satisfactorily connected and resolved in the remaining sixteen episodes, this could be a superior series. We’ll see.
The weird character designs were part of what repelled me. But I think it was the oppressive mood that really drove me away.
I felt quality story telling. I really did. But it just didn’t seem to be my kind of story.
